VOLUNTEERING
One of the most difficult aspects of managing a sporting club is filling all the positions required to enable training, game days and events to go ahead in an efficient and non-stressful manner. Over recent years we have tried several ways to share the load by scheduling players, parents, etc, however this has also had its downfalls in that it takes a lot of managing (printing and distributing schedules, last minute back and forth communication if someone is unable to make it, manual reminders using text messages, etc.
We now use a program called SignUp which not only assists with the managing of volunteer scheduling but also helps to increase the uptake of volunteers helping out, as more often than not, too much is still left up to too few to do.
